Iraqi Dinar Opinion, Info and News
Thinking about investing in the Dinar?
If you feel rushed to get in on Iraq's new money, do your reserch first. As of March 10th 2013 I believe "THERE IS NO RUSH" !
Is Iraqi Dinar Legal?
Yes, it is - there is a lot of controversy over buying Iraqi Dinars. Presidential Order 13303 allows US Citizens to invest in the New Iraq. Under this Order and the Coalition Provisional Government Order 39, a US citizen has the same rights to investments as an Iraqi citizen. In fact, you can pick up Iraq Money at your local bank here in the US!

My Opinion on thr Iraqi Dinar
The Iraqi Dinar is a BIG risk and you are gambling that the government in Iraq will pull together and start profiting from its rich oil resources. If it does, then your investment could pay off. At one time the old Iraqi Dinar was worth $3.50 U.S. dollars. On a positive note; as long as the USA has an interest in Iraq I would venture to say that "the Iraqi Dinar is at this time (June 1st 2011) somewhat backed by the United States Government".
How much sould a person invest (gamble)? I personally would only risk less than one tenth of a percent of your net worth. So if you have a million dollar net worth, that would be $1,000 which should get you over one million Dinar.
Iraqi Dinar - The Counterfit Fakes!
The old Iraqi dinars with the picture of Saddam are not the money you want - it's the new money issued by the Central Bank of Iraq on October 15, 2003 that investors are seeking. New dinars printed by De La Rue, contain some of the most up-to-date anti-counterfeit features, including watermarks, a security thread, raised letters, an optical variable ink and other variations to thwart off counterfeiters.
Dinar denominations of 50, 250, 1000, 5000, 10000, and 25000 are available.
